As Director of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence, Dominic Tremblay supports IDÉE and schools in the thoughtful integration of emerging technologies in the service of learning. A teacher by training, he has spent more than 17 years helping school leaders and teaching teams create innovative learning environments, and has helped transform hundreds of classrooms into true ecosystems of innovation.
His expertise has taken him to every province and territory in Canada and to some fifteen countries, from South Africa to Singapore, including France, Mexico and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In Kinshasa, he mentored the ASCITECH robotics club, which in 2025 became the first team to represent the DRC at the World Robot Olympiad in Singapore.
Head judge at the World Robot Olympiad since 2017 and host of the Canada-Wide Science Fair awards ceremony for more than twenty years, he also co-developed the Smarter Science framework, which underpins New Brunswick’s science curriculum. An Ontario Certified Teacher, he is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Master Trainer and a LEGO® Education Certified Teacher Trainer.
An accredited Six Bricks trainer with Care for Education (South Africa), he was the first to deliver this training in Canada and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He also works with leadership teams using the LEGO® Serious Play™ method to strengthen collaboration and build shared visions.
From artificial intelligence and machine learning to robotics, digital fabrication and immersive realities, he uses cutting-edge technologies to design meaningful entrepreneurial projects. His conviction: students must move from being mere consumers of technology to creators who can innovate and solve real-world problems.
