Nathalie Ladouceur

Nathalie Ladouceur

Originally from Hawkesbury in French Ontario, Madame Ladouceur has been working in the education sector for 25 years, holding various positions: teacher, educational advisor, community liaison officer for the “Expanding the Francophone Space” initiative, advisor supporting ministry initiatives for the Ontario Ministry of Education, and finally returning to the school administration team.

Her first experience with Idée éducation entrepreneuriale was in 2016, and since then, she has become an enthusiast and passionate advocate of conscious entrepreneurial education. In fact, wherever she goes, she cannot help but view the world through this lens. Recently, she undertook a two-month educational mission in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, as a collaborator and consultant supporting a local partner.

In addition to her experiences in the education sector, her passion and heart remain within the community sector, where for over 30 years, she has collaborated with various leaders on current issues such as Francophonie, arts and culture, health, social justice, and entrepreneurial culture to contribute to capacity building for community development.

Over the years, her involvement with various organizations, including a decade spent in British Columbia, has provided her with a wealth of enriching experiences with about twenty boards of directors, such as the Association canadienne-française de l’Ontario (ACFO), the Assembly of Francophonie of Ontario (AFO), the Prescott and Russell Arts Council (CAPRAC), Development and Peace, Ty Watson Hospice House, Canadian Parents for French (CPF), among others. She is currently the president of the Hawkesbury General Hospital Foundation, chair of the advisory board of United Way East Ontario, and one of the founding members of Prescott-Russell Women’s Leadership (LFPR).

Madame Ladouceur has received several honors for her commitment and multiple contributions at the regional, provincial, interterritorial, and international levels:

  • Centraide Community Leadership Lumière Award (2016)
  • Honorary Member Award from the Ontario Teachers’ Federation (2015)
  • Special Award from the Canadian Teachers’ Federation (2012)
  • Francophonie Award of Prescott and Russell (2019)
  • Ambassador Award of the Welcoming Francophone Community (CFA) (2022)

Mother of a family of 5 children, she is very proud to live in French, to participate in and create moments that solidify their sense of belonging and community inclusion, all while supporting linguistic duality.
